Beyond Social Skills

Student drop off classes are for parents who understand the benefits of Relationship Development Intervention (RDI)  but do not have the time to begin RDI at home.  Our groups are run by certified RDI consultants and trained RDI extenders.  We use this bio-psycho-social approach to target deficits in flexible thinking, joint attention, episodic memory, self-awareness, experience sharing communication, and dynamic thinking.    Our classes are developmentally staged and students will be assessed prior to starting a class.
Learners
Through play with a variety of materials, Learners will develop the foundational skills necessary for social engagement including joint attention, social referencing, and emotion sharing.  Physical movement is emphasized as students learn to coordinate their actions with social partners.  These foundational skills will get the student ready for the next level which is Social Partners.

Parenting Classes

Our parent training classes are a perfect complement to Early Intervention Services and are offered in several formats.   Our Mommy and Me class is for mom, dad or caretaker and child ages 2-5 years old.  During these classes we work hands on with caretaker and child teaching how to promote your child's social cognitive development. Our parenting class for adults only covers the fundamentals of RDI using role play and hands on activities in a group format.  We also offer individual RDI parent training.

Mommy and Me
Engage with your child in a safe environment with other parents as we perform a variety of activities with an emphasis on developmental learning including joint attention, co-regulation, non-verbal communication, and experience sharing communication.  Our approach is based in Relationship Development Intervention and groups are run by certified RDI consultants.
